Overhead power supply
Electricity is supplied throughout the light rail network by 21 sub-stations, which receive three-phase AC of 15,000 volts from EDF. They transform it into 750 volts DC.
The current is transmitted to the light rail vehicle via small gauge overhead lines (1.5 cm2) located at a height of 6 meters or via the central power rail on the ground.
Current from the overhead power supply is collected by the light rail vehicles via a single pantograph. The overhead power supply covers more than 14 km of double track.
